Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Colombo – Kandy (130kms) (Highly recommended to book a flight which arrives in the morning)

On arrival at Colombo airport assistance & transfer to Kandy. On the way visit the Pinnawala elephant orphanage to see the largest gathering of tamed elephants in the world On arrival check-in at the hotel. Later Kandy city tour, visit Kandy viewpoint, Kandy Lake, Gem museum and Gem shop. The Kandyan cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lanka dancing and music will also be on the agenda. The day wind up with visiting the iconic tourist attraction in Kandy – The Temple of the Tooth Relic a UNESCO world heritage site. O/n at hotel.

Day 2: Kandy – Sigiriya – Minneriya National Park – Kandy (110kms one way)

After early breakfast leave for Sigiriya and visit iconic Sri Lanka tourist site Sigiriya rock fortress, a UNESCO world heritage sites. En-route visit Spice/herbal garden. In the afternoon wildlife jeep safari at Minneriya national park. Drive back to Kandy, Visit Hindu Temple in Matale. for o/n stay at hotel.

Day 3: Kandy – South beach (250kms)

After breakfast drive to south coast. En-route visit Royal botanical garden Peradeniya, Ceylon tea trail, visit tea factory, tea garden and tea center. On arrival check in at hotel. The palm fringed snow-white sandy pristine beaches are heaven for leisure seekers in Sri Lanka. Rest time free and easy to relax. O/n at hotel.

Day 4: Whale watching – Galle tour

Early morning leave for a whale watching tour of Mirissa. After the whale watching tour a boat tour of turtle beach and watching stilt fishermen in Unawatuna. Later a sightseeing tour of southern coast of Sri Lanka, visit sea turtle conservation project, Unwatuna beach and guided walking tour of Galle fort. O/n at hotel.

Day 5: Galle – Colombo (145kms) (Highly recommended to book a flight which leave in the night )

After breakfast take train ride along the south and west coast of Sri Lanka. En-route boat tour at Madu estuary (Ramsar wetland), mangrove lagoon and visit cinnamon island. Thereafter drive to Colombo and drop off to airport.
